The bungalows offer stunning views and a spacious layout, making for a pleasant stay. However, the loud wind at night was a bit disruptive. While the restaurant had decent options, the breakfast could use some improvement. Overall, a great location for experiencing nature.

Unfortunately, my stay at Hotel Tropico Monteverde felt quite disappointing. The restaurant service was neglectful. upon our arrival, the owner didn't seem interested in engaging with us or addressing our needs. Additionally, the lack of air conditioning in our Deluxe Queen Room made the warm nights unbearable, leaving us tossing and turning and struggling to get a decent night's sleep.

We were amazed by the panoramic views and the cozy, intimate atmosphere. Jose’s personal touch made our stay feel special, particularly when he arranged our early breakfast before our morning excursion.

The breathtaking panoramic views of the lush mountains extending to the Nicoya Peninsula were simply unforgettable during our stay.

The lack of on-site staff at night made us feel deserted and slightly uneasy, as we occasionally encountered unfamiliar cars in the parking lot.

the view was nice, however, the restaurant staff couldn’t even be bothered to put their phones down upon arrival. also, no air conditioning meant sweating all night. i expected a welcome gift for such oversight but instead, i got a warm bottle of water. almost thought about giving a good review, just couldn’t.

No local area guide book in the room!!! The restaurant owner should engage more with guests during arrival!!! No air conditioning makes hot periods uncomfortable!!!

My stay at Hotel Tropico Monteverde was delightful! The breathtaking view of lush mountains extending to the Gulf of Nicoya was enchanting. Jose and his team provided exceptional hospitality, arranging delicious meals and memorable tours. I truly felt at home during my time there.

Tropico features spacious, beautifully designed bungalows with striking mountain views and large terraces for guests to enjoy. The hospitality provided by Jose was outstanding. he readily offered valuable advice on local attractions and ensured our dietary preferences were met during breakfast. The delicious meals at the restaurant, especially the wood-fired pizzas, were a highlight of our stay and very reasonably priced.

No air conditioning in the bungalows can make warmer periods uncomfortable.

We loved the campfire setup at sunset. Honestly, it felt like we were living in a postcard with the very nice views. Plus, every morning started with Jose's fresh fruit and homemade jam. How can you beat that?

It wasn’t exactly cheap, but for what you get it’s totally worth it.

Staying at Tropico was a magical experience! The bungalows are spacious, beautifully designed, and offer breathtaking views.
